Steamboat Little Givers

Raising Kind Humans One Project at a Time

Steamboat Little Givers is our year-round kids’ community project designed to inspire giving through time, treasure, and talent. Hosted by Dusky Grouse Coffee, this initiative encourages young locals to complete weekly acts of kindness—52 in total!

Follow @Steamboat_Little_Givers for updates, and send project photos to Steph@duskygrousecoffee.com to be featured!

Let’s raise the next generation of givers—right here in Steamboat.

Culinary Hospitality Outreach and Wellness (CHOW)

Join CHOW every Tuesday in the upstairs conference room at Dusky from 12-1pm for hospitality and service industry workers to meet in a confidential and supportive space. CHOW’s mission is to support wellness within the hospitality industry and to improve the lives of our community through shared stories, skills, and resources.

The woman in the middle has dark hair tied back, wearing a black shirt and beige pants. The man on the right has a beard, wearing a blue shirt, light green pants, and a black cap. Behind them are glass doors with various stickers and signs, and a potted plant with red flowers is outside on the left.

Recovery Friendly Workplace

Dusky is a certified Recovery Friendly Workplace, as recognized by the state of Colorado. This means that we are dedicated to harm reduction within our team and community and are committed to offering our team members resources outside of Dusky to help with substance abuse disorder and mental health disorders. This does not mean that we are therapists, coaches or recovery specialists. Each team member is responsible for their own actions and may ask for support resources at any time.

Colorado Recovery Friendly Workplace Pledge

Addiction and mental health crises are problems our organization is committed to help solve. I pledge that my organization will do what it can to take action.

1. Our organization pledges to create a workplace where it is safe to have uncomfortable and often difficult conversations about addiction and mental health.

2. Our organization pledges to educate employees about the dangers of substance misuse and dispel the myths and stigma surrounding addiction and mental health.

3. Our organization pledges to support employees and family members' access to high-quality prevention, treatment, and/or recovery services.

4. We pledge to create a healthy, safe, and stigma-free work environment by participating in Colorado’s RFW Initiative.
